Jessica is a licensed counselor. In 2006 she received her bachelor’s degree in educational psychology, and in 2008, completed her Master’s degree in community counseling, graduating from Mississippi State University. Throughout her education, Jessica has had the opportunity to work with varied populations, including children and adolescents, using cognitive behavioral techniques. She has also had the opportunity to work with many adults suffering from depression and various mood disorders. She is a National Certified Counselor, a Board Certified Tele-mental health counselor, and is certified by the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder treatment. Jessica is an active member of the American Counseling Association, The Mississippi Counseling Association, International OCD Foundation, and the Alabama Counseling Association.
Jessica provides her clients with a safe and confidential environment that is both genuine and accepting. She seeks to empower others to live confident, content lives. She believes whatever your situation may be, you do not have to live your life feeling self-defeated and hopeless. She strives to help all human beings move toward a healthier and happier way of living in the presence of a growth-promoting climate. Counseling provides such a climate, where insight is gained about oneself and the world. When applied, this knowledge can lead to a more meaningful and rewarding way of life.
Jessica is also a mom, a wife, a music enthusiast, a published author, and a part-time farmer. She enjoys playing guitar, writing, gardening, and she strives to make the most of every moment. One of her favorite quotes is:
